Reza Elhamian

Reza Elhamian began to learn the piano at the Tehran Conservatoire at the age of 12, with Mohsen Elhamian and Novin Afrooz. After the Conservatoire he continued his studies with the prominent Iranian Pianist Raphael Minaskanian at the Azad University.

In 1998 he won the first prize in the National Student Piano Competition and went to Paris to study with Professor Jean Micault (assistant and student of the renowned French pianist Alfred Cortot). After this period he left Paris to study a Master Degree in performance at the Goldsmiths College (London University) where he had the chance to study with illustrious teachers such as Joan Havill and Benjamin Caplan .

Reza Elhamian has had successful concerts in Iran and Europe in the field of chamber music and solo work.

In 2008 after ten years he returned to Iran and since then he has been teaching at the music faculty of the Art University.

Tehran Sinfonia News

Tehran Sinfonia at Roudaki Hall
Tehran Sinfonia will perform at Roudaki Hall on 20 and 21 October 2011. Works by Handel, Vivaldi, Barber, Britten and Debussy will be performed in this concert. Behnam Abolghasem will play with Tehran Sinfonia as piano soloist.

Tehran Sinfonia Concert
Tehran Sinfonia will perform in Niavaran Cultural Center on 21 and 22 July 2011. The pianist Reza Elhamian will perform Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 12. Also, Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 by Bach and pieces by Gustav Holst and Astor Piazzolla will be performed in this concert.
